Abby Peterson is a graduate of Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts receiving a Master of Acupuncture degree. Tai Sophia is a nationally accredited program in Five Element Classical Chinese Medicine that requires 3 years of classroom learning and over 500 clinical hours in treating patients. She is currently on the faculty there where she teaches and supervises in the student clinic and practices as a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Maryland.

In addition she received a BS in Community Health Education from the University of Maryland College Park. Prior to enrolling in Tai Sophia, she worked as a health educator/HIV counselor in the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinic at the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine. In addition to working with adults, Abby takes pride in working with children, adolescents and young adults.
